Yuri Suzuki Design Studio has developed with Data Arts Team from Google an Android phone application which is platform to create virtual musical instruments with piece of papers.

With the help of a few piece of papers, AR Music Kit turns your device into a DIY musical instrument. When the camera picks up the patterned sequence, the device will play back corresponding notes in kind.

When the code is picked up by the camera, a note is played. when code is presented to the camera, it can play back a sound.
This gives a great creative platform to create music in an unexpected and unusual way.
